Couldn't agree more, been saying this for years. I'm from Denmark, and in my most recent save I played in the Danish league and scouted mainly in Denmark. I fully understand the complexity for EA to create a perfect variety of names in every country around the world. But it would certainly be an easy fix to allow us to edit these things ourselves, once we find players with utterly stupid names. I remember finding a "Thomsen Thomsen" for instance. Or a "Mille Sørensen" - with everyone in Denmark knowing that Mille is in fact a girl's name.
I would also go a step further and ask: why stop at the names? A lot of youth players have something about their appearance that makes them hard for me to invest in. A stupid haircut among other things. Why not make everything about the players editable for us? It's a single player game mode, and these players are not meant to resemble anyone in real life anyway. So I would certainly enjoy to have a lot more control of these things.
