Sounds right, @Danimal5981. I think it's interesting how clubs approach a fall in status, if they're used to being on top and aren't anymore. A club like Man United have made so many awful short term solutions in a panicking attempt to claw themselves back on top. For 11 years now. Surely they would already have been back on top, if only they'd made wiser decisions along the way.

Unwanted attention for in form player. Getting first win is great, but the man behind it could be heading off. Can Brønby keep hold of their asset or will the offer be too good to turn down?

Exactly. He's a good player, a true fan favourite and one I'd hate to lose. But realistically I know he's here on borrowed time. Once he starts to perform more consistently, he'll certainly be off. I believe he's been on Celtic's radar for quite some time. Could be fun to sell to them, if an offer comes. But what are the odds of that happening? I'll probably just wait until an offer exceeds the 8 or 9 million euros and then accept.

Seems you're gonna end up in no-man's land with Viborg this way.
FC.K, FC.M, AGF and FC.N well ahead;
Aab and below well behind.

FC.K is such a balanced team, it will be difficult catching them if you lose any more ground this early. It is good to see others starting to step up. Players like Vally will need to find consistency for the results to turn around.
Have you changed tactics or player roles? Or are you using the default setup for now?

Exactly 😉
Yes, the top 4 has been incredibly consistent so far, and the bottom 6 has been equally consistently poor. The league is usually more unpredictable than this. But I like the way things are going so far. It certainly doesn't look like I'm running away with things too soon.

I don't really expect to be in a title race this first season. Brøndby were deep in a title race in 2018 (slipped), in 2021 (won) and now in 2024 (slipped). So it seems fans can now expect such a run every third season... Only difference now is that the club has actually kept the squad pretty much intact this summer, not allowing the same major departures there was after the other two title races, even adding more experience in Jordi Vanlerberghe (January) and Stijn Spierings (August), both 28 years old. So maybe they should have been able to keep up their performances in the new season despite the heartache of the spring.
No changed tactics. I did struggle a bit on Legendary though, so I used World Class in the SønderjyskE and Vejle games to get a few much needed wins. Back on Legendary against Silkeborg and expect to stay there for now.

In theory / On paper, I can't see why you wouldn't be able to compete for the league title. For the Danish league, this is an excellent squad.
Equal to København and Midtjylland, better than Aarhus or Nordsjaelland.
You should be able to reach European football based on the league (top 3)

Perhaps they are closer than I give them credit for, but I do feel there is a step to take before being on the same level as the two. Especially when we look beyond the first 11.
That said, the squad is easily better this season than they were when beginning the last one. And the league title was theirs to lose in the end. So why not dream big, now that the squad has been kept pretty much intact? That's a valid point.

So far, not yet the shock-effect from the manager's sacking / replacement.

That's true. Now, I also don't see Thomas Frank as the plug-and-play short term solution to get results here and now. In my opinion he's more the long term sort of manager, who may take some time to build something, but then perform consistently over longer periods of time.
A win vs bottom of the table AaB would have been good, obviously, but with the recent defensive troubles I decided to count the clean sheet as a small win.

Stock piling on draws it seems altho the one against København wouldn't be disappointed about right now. Great to bring Frank back and maybe he can get the job done and without hindrance from within. Much work to be done, this season looks to be about laying the foundations

Yes, absolutely. I was thinking - with 0-0 at the scoreboard vs bottom of the table AaB - should I go all out attacking to try to claim a late winner? Or should I instead make 100% sure that I would not concede late to take that clean sheet after a number of poor defensive performances? Safe to say I chose the latter, a good defence is a must for a winning team.

I like the Frank hire. I think his time is almost up at Brentford, though I expected him to take a role at a bigger club. Going back to his old club is also a nice change and a path someone like Frank could take. I have never heard of 'Oscar-Gate" that is crazy, I might have to look more into that.
The results are trending up, though slow progress. Turn the draws into wins for the second half of the year and you can climb back into the top three race.
