Port Vale FC, a club with a record that nobody would ever want. They are the longest club to be in existence and to never play in the top flight. 113 season without top flight football for the second team in Stoke. The club's traditional rivals are Stoke City, and games between the two are known as the Potteries derby.

Port Vale's highest Football League finish was fifth place in the second tier in 1930-31, whilst their best FA Cup finish saw them reach the semi-finals in 1953-54. In the 2023-24 season, they reached the quarter-finals of the League Cup for the first time.

True, but another fun fact about PVFC - it's the only team in the current top 4 levels (EPL, FCH, FL1, FL2) to have played and beaten all other 91 current teams at least once.

@Danimal5981 That is interesting, I did not come across that when I was researching the club but that is a good fact!

No, I do not have any special connection with the club, just a random one I picked in FC24 and carried over the career. I think that is also why I am really struggling to get into this career, I am finding it hard to create any storylines or good writeups because I have no connection to the club or players and do not really know what to write about. I might have to take a break from this one until I come up with some ideas.

Good consistency in the youth contributing to a greater future for Port Vale. I do like it's something we have the option to follow this year more in depth
