Transfer listed players don't accept offers

This has been going for ages, but this needs to be fixed.

I put a player with 3 more years of contract on transfer list, and every time he asks for game time I make sure to select the option that will make it clear he's not going to play.

I get numerous offers for him, I accept them all, not even negotiating, I just want them to leave the club without losing too much on them, as releasing them will cost more than their salary until the end of contract. 

They never accept any offer. I had players sit out for 3 years, not playing a single second, not even part of the substitutes list, just so their moral will plunge and they leave, but no. 

It comes to be more likely that IKEA will contact them to make them models of the latest bench collections, than they'd leave the club.

In real life, apart from Steve McManaman, I'm not aware of any player that was willing to sit on the bench without playing, and even he eventually left Real Madrid.
