Unable to Sprint in Career Mode Matches

I've had this problem for a while, but today found out it's to do with my controller. I am using a PowerA controller and downloaded a calibration app. I noticed when testing out all the buttons and triggers that the left trigger wasn't completely turning off when I released it.  A quick squirt with WD40 and it now works perfectly and my players are now sprinting again.
