I have the same.
I started a career right after I purchased the game, and it was working fine. When I started a new career a few weeks after, I noticed this frustrating bug! If I go back to the old career, it works well, but no matter how many times I start a new career, it always has the issue. I've stopped playing because of this.
I'll try to delete game data and hope it works.
Worst EA FC/FIFA game ever. There's absolutely no excuse for this experience.
