thanks for all your reports! This is a pretty weird issue and our team is investigating.
We could use your help in collecting some more info, trying to get to the bottom of this. Could you please let us know what controller layout are you using? (For example, Classic, Alternate etc.)
It would also be helpful to get a short video clip of it happening with the gamepad overlay turned on.

I am using classic and still in career mode I cannot sprint even in December, this has to be fixed as it is ruining the game. I have only experienced this in player career mode as I have not played any other as I have just got the game. Please fix this.
And before you think I just don't know how to sprint I am using RT on Xbox while using classic mode for controls

Hello , I am using classic but no matter which controller layout I use, the problem remains the same

I found a way which is working for me.Go to game settings,change simulation settings to custom and use it.
putting in custom is same as classic as customs default values is same as of classic which is 50in every options and also wind option off.
if its not working in already started career mode then,start a new caerer mode again and then after creation of manager or player there will option of changing simulation settings with match difficulty,general settings etc...
Change the option there and start the career mode it will work.
