Updated OVR in fresh start, but not live start

so the december 18 update boosted amad diallo's OVR from 76 to 78, but when i start a MC using a live start point, his OVR is still 76. in the team sheets in the main menu, it's 78 and if i start a MC as a fresh start, it's 78, but not a live start MC. am i missing something?
