424 on Old Gen - EA FC 25

Question

Every "good" player on old gen plays 424, just leaving 4 players upfront waiting for the counter.

No possession, no combinations, no skill, just win the ball or wait for the opponent to fail a skill move or a pass and then just two passes and you are 4 vs 2.

There really is no skillgap at all this year.

Its all about formation and tactics, 424 is completely broken on old gen. The playstyle seems so boring aswell.

Im in div 2 and ive gotten 10 wins every WL so far, 80% of my losses in both rivals and WL is against 424.

They really need to patch 424 or make my wingbacks mark their wingers. Would love to see if people still would use 424 then.

i switched to old gen this week, noticed the 424 way of playing from a lot off teams.But overpowered indeed. however, old gen is way more fun then new gen imo.

It's just because the defenders are all now braindead. EA cannot find a middle ground in anything it does, it can only settle on an extreme. Earlier this year defenders were all godly and the game sucked. Now they're all morons that couldn't compete in Sunday league and the game still sucks, albeit in a slightly different way.

I don't want to micromanage an entire 11 man team to be remotely competitive. I'm in div 2 and the game is just exhausting. With all the bugs, input lag and randomness, we've come so far away from what was meant to be a football game that I don't even see any resemblence of what made fifa fifa.
