Hi thank for report, I see it often too. Nice hint for EA from one youtube comment, 100% agree:
"Simple: add the AFK timer like there is on Rivals and Champs. Penalty for the AFK disconnect is a 0.5 multiplier on all Rush Points accumulated in the next Rush game you play. If there's more than 3 disconnects in a 60 minute period, you are locked out of Rush for 24 hours. 3 of these lockouts in a Season results in a Season-long ban from Rush"

That sounds like the optimal solution - just now, EA Sports has to implement and enforce it.

They make billions and can't even make a game with working menus never mind game modes. Complete an SBC restart the game is my experience this last week

The problem in Rush is not only AFK players. As a single player joining some random players that never pass you the ball and ignore you is a huge concern and an anti social behaviour that EA should take into consideration.
Now I can imagine if EA allows these players the power to kick out other players from the game at their description by vote is definitely not the solution.
Also being a single player I should be allowed to leave the game if I am on a such lack of inclusion/ anti-social behaviour game. 8 out of 10 games have this pattern. It is shocking.
Depending on the circumstances, penalising people for leaving the game under this behaviour should not happen.
