Hello.Until EA FC 24 when you chose a formation on career mode lie 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 for example you could put every player in a position and then pick one player and edit his position on the pitch pressing square or triangle (don't remember well sorry). So for example in a Tottenham 4-3-3 you could change Maddison position from CAM to CM just by pressing him in the line up and moving him forward or backwards. The game will ask you if you wanted him to change position and thats all.Now in EA FC25 you can set a formation but you can't move players, you set a 4-3-3 and it is a fix formation any player can't be moved from standard 4-3-3. I don't know if I am explaining myself sorry.

I cannot believe they removed this. Now you have to play a bunch of midfielders out of position because you cannot play in a formation with for example a CDM, CM and CAM, while almost every teams has those positions in the squad. How stupid are you EA?

@Bunifas They need to sort this it’s gonna ruin career mode. Too many teams have a CAM CM CDM situation but you can’t play like that cuz someone’s always out of position making them get a rating loss. Unbelievable.

They need to change or add to the tactics badly. As of now tactics are so limiting. I should be able to have a midfield of a cdm, cm, and a cam. I should be able to put them where I want on the pitch. I should be able to give directions to my wingers and forwards to run in behind, come short, stay wide, or come inside. And if they really wanted to add to tactics, i should be able to have different formations for when I have the ball and when I don't. Right now I can't get my teams to play the way I want and have been able to in last years version and many others. These changes restrict so much and make the game so static and rely on dribbling. I really hope they make changes, additions, or revert to last years tactics. Not looking good at the moment. This all feels like it is for ultimate team so that players have to attempt to pack players who fit those roles. Career mode players should be able to edit tactics as much as last years game.

The big problem with this is that when one player is sent off one can't adjust players position in the team. So the team can't be balanced after a red card. For the EA clowns that removed this feature put it back in again or I will simply request a refund for this game

To me is unplayable career mode right now. I am supose to be the manager so why can’t I put every player in the position I want on the pitch? I don’t understand why they change this. They never think of those who play career mode, they are focus on multiplayer only.

I want to hear back from fifa in response to this please. I want to make changes to my squad i want to customise the way i want my team to play. I want 1 cdm 1cm and 1 cam.

I can't help complaining about this though. This is ridiculous. Today's football managers can ask players to play out of their original position if needed and today's game so called fc25 you can not set player to play his own position/role because you already select 4-4-2 and their is no CM in it. So funny!!!

How can we all report this !!? It’s quite annoying … how stupid !?? Instead of upgrading they keep downgrading… so much money spent from people on this * game … and they can’t even keep the good stuff … the things that made sense

I just bought FC25 recently and will be refunding, the decision to remove such a basic and often used feature is mind boggling. It's an absolute disgrace and makes the game in Career Mode practically pointless, what happens when I get a Red Card? I can no longer tinker with the team to suit a formation to help with 10 players. I am stuck with a formation and a missing gap.

It's simply a massively pathetic oversight by the FC25 development lead, try actually engaging with your users instead of hindering them.
