I am also almost completely sure this is an issue on FC 25 side. My connection is wired, fast full fibre internet with no packet loss, and I'm on a very up to date high spec PC. This issue is so consistent in the game, and it happens even in the in-game menus for me. I don't have anything like this happening with any other games, just FC 25. EA support has to understand this is an issue on their side. I had this speed up lag with FC 24 (to a lesser extent) as well. At FC 25 launch, I was really happy that it didn't have this issue, otherwise I'd have refunded immediately. But unfortunately whatever they did with the last few updates brought this issue back in the worst way. The game is actually unplayable right now for me. I'm not going into any Rivals or Champions matches at all due to this.
Same issue here on PC. All other games fine, 96/100 on EA Connection quality report. Impossible to play Champions, conceded too many goals due to stopping/speeding up.
I came back to 25 after deciding to give this one a miss. Thought I'd try it out after getting a month of EA Play Pro. Absolutely no way I am continuing, the game is getting worse year after year. ☹️
