Since yesterday morning, every online game I've gone into has had unplayable speed up lag occuring every 5-10 seconds. This only happens online but I have never had problems with my connection before. Its also extremely consistent and happens within the cutscenes before the game even starts. I've tried messing with the settings, reinstalling the game multiple times on multiple different drives, resetting my router etc and nothing seems to work
I am also almost completely sure this is an issue on FC 25 side. My connection is wired, fast full fibre internet with no packet loss, and I'm on a very up to date high spec PC. This issue is so consistent in the game, and it happens even in the in-game menus for me. I don't have anything like this happening with any other games, just FC 25. EA support has to understand this is an issue on their side. I had this speed up lag with FC 24 (to a lesser extent) as well. At FC 25 launch, I was really happy that it didn't have this issue, otherwise I'd have refunded immediately. But unfortunately whatever they did with the last few updates brought this issue back in the worst way. The game is actually unplayable right now for me. I'm not going into any Rivals or Champions matches at all due to this.
Same issue here on PC. All other games fine, 96/100 on EA Connection quality report. Impossible to play Champions, conceded too many goals due to stopping/speeding up.
I came back to 25 after deciding to give this one a miss. Thought I'd try it out after getting a month of EA Play Pro. Absolutely no way I am continuing, the game is getting worse year after year. ☹️

EA FC 25 is by far the most * game ever.

Has anyone foind a fix for this yet on console i got new wifi recently and on all the other games its good jist Fc25 this happens
Also have this issue for months now on my PC. It used to be running great at first. I have a constant stable connection speed of 700mbps and the game (FC 25) still runs smoothly for 90% of the time, but then it lags for 20 seconds and speeds up at least once or twice EVERY match now and is becoming unplayable - I'm losing matches due to this and given that this is also probably the WORST FIFA/FC ever made, I don't want to invest in any more of these products. On top of these issues the gameplay is literally random and inconsistent, with the game deciding when a goal will be scored - not your skill.
This has been coming on since last weekend, and since this update it has just got worse. Just played a game, and there is still delay, and is very noticeable in key input...passing, sprinting and switching players happens seconds later, the sprint feels as if one is winding up a freaken toy. The other annoying issue that has seemed to return is this rebounds when performing a tackle...this crap pisses me off!
The big problem with these updates is none are beta tested before release, whether the updates fixes bug or adds new features, it demands more on your console/pc and trying to feed that through to servers just add more strain.
I've seen this happen with Adobe, there updates put so much strain on my MacBook pro that it kept overheating to point that the Logitech board and trackpad failed on a 2yr old laptop, costed me R26k to repair. My Xbox OneS fried itself from heating up, replaced it with PS5 Pro that seems to be heating up after every FC25 session.
So in essence these updates are freaken ridiculously demanding, it can be the only reason why there is lag, and it will a lot worse if you are further away from the EAs dumb servers.
