Controller doesn't work online?

Did you manage to find a fix here? I'm having exactly the same problems, as I'm unable to play in Ultimate Team Rivals. Squad Battles and kick-offs work perfectly vs AI.

I bought EA Sports FC 25 from Steam. I have an Xbox 360 and a Logitech controller, and the game doesn't even work on the keyboard and mouse combo on UT Rivals.

So its the same * as was happening in FC 24 unfixed for a year. Unfixed issues in other EA games too such as WRC has me decided to not buy FC 25 or anymore F1 titles (no more EA) as I regularly did. What a stinking company.

I had the same issue. Someone helped me on a discord chat. 
First of all, I’m on pc app not steam. When in game, the controller only worked on the menu’s and offline modes.

So, when you start the game and go into settings file you’ll see a shortcut with a keyboard command  (arrow) instead of an A. This means that the game is not recognizing your controller. If you press A on your controller and go straight into the game you’ll have the same issue. What I did was press the B button on my controller and the shortcut sign (an arrow) changed to the A sign. Only then did I press the A button to continue on into the game.

This worked for me. for some reason you can’t press the A button straight away.

So the whole day I can play, ofcourse putting on FC points works, openings packs, playing squad battles. But as soon as I go online the controller suddenly doesn't work anymore? I got scammed!!!!
