Controlling the GK in Practice Arena and Kick Off modes

Why did EA remove the ability to control the GK in Practice Arena and Kick Off in FC 24? Playing as the GK doing 1 on 1s was pretty fun whether it was against the AI or a friend, and in Kick Off you could become GK instantly by pressing the touchpad. Why were these features removed?, as they barely made a difference, and can EA please add them back in FC 25?
