Whoever at EA thought it was a good idea to let new-gen consoles play against old-gen consoles in the old-gen version of EA FC really missed the mark. How is that even fair?
How are old-gen players supposed to compete with outdated tech? Why should they be at a disadvantage because of a decision made by an incompetent employee at EA?
They need to disable cross-gen matchmaking.
I don’t think there is cross gen gameplay. You can play cross platform between the same gen.
Cross-gen as in PS5 matchmaking with PS4 on the old-gen version.
Yeah that doesn’t happen. It’s only cross platform on the current gen. Meaning pc ps5 and xbox series x play. Then ps4 and xbox one play. Ps 4 doesn’t play against ps 5.
You can actually download the PS4 version of EA FC 25 on PS5 and play against PS4 players. Do you even play EA FC?

Everyone associated with EA is just incompetent at this point. You literally misunderstood my post, and it's my fault? if I'm on PS5 playing the PS4 version against PS4 consoles. What would you call it? Of course, it's cross-gen matchmaking on the old-gen version. PS4 and PS5 consoles are not the same generation.
At first I don’t think you explained it well. I then agreed with you that ps 4 can play ps 4 but not ps5 vs ps4. I think you misunderstood that I never disagreed that ps 4 can play ps4.
I think the problem comes from there is no cross gen matchmaking. Ps 5 console using ps4 version can match ps4.
