Downgrade to a previous version
Hello guys,
is it somehow possible to downgrade to a previous version before that horrible "gameplay refresh update"?
I've experienced a lot of EA football, practically all of it from FIFA 04 to FC25 (except FIFA 11), so I've experienced a lot of absolutely terrible updates, but I've also experienced awesome updates. But this is definitely one of the worse ones. From my point of view, of course.
All I can say is that the goalkeepers are better, but that doesn't outweigh the absolutely catastrophic behavior of the defending players. Is this some kind of joke? Basically, right now it doesn't matter if a defender has 50CLK or 90CLK, he's either completely out of position, or he's standing and looking at the opponent like a stake in the fence. In conjunction with fast player types, absolutely undefendable. Basically, it's like pinball. For example, the game against Arsenal is fun. Before the update, it was always a great game. The result was always close, win or lose... it was like 1-0, 2-1.
But now? Basically the ball is flying at lightning speed across the width of the pitch, thanks to defenders who look like they've had a lobotomy and just look on and don't care if a player runs between them, sometimes two, it's undefendable. So the result is often a loss by 4-5 goals. However, a game against a team from the middle of the table, or from the bottom, and the situation turns around. Suddenly my defenders are like a wall, not even a mouse can get through them, but the opponent's defense is like a colander. The result is the same again, just a win, often 5:0, 6:0. This is definitely not what happened before the update.

It's hard to say how the developers think it's supposed to work, but it might be nice to see the football from time to time. For example on TV and then compare it to what the AI can do in the game. Absolutely bulls*it. Every player, regardless of rating, playstyle... the ball flies again at lightning speed and all into the top of the goal. It's really awful. I haven't seen a single ground shot in the entire update. Not one. I mean, sorry... I saw... the ones I shot myself.
And getting back to the defence. I have no idea if the update broke it or if it's some kind of secret modification. Either way, it's about corner kicks. The only option is to play it short on the ground. Any centering ends with the defender sending it away. That goes for AI and me in the case of the center. Just have the player who is supposed to jump stand and look at the ball and the only one who jumps is the defender. I highly doubt it's supposed to work that a 195cm player with a 92 jump can't jump over a 184cm player with a barely 70 jump. Before the update, if the center was precise, it was possible to score with the head. Now it's a complete utopia.
Is it possible to downgrade the game to the previous, normally playable version in some mysterious way? To a version where you can play normal football and not some alien imitation football.
