EA FC 25 - stuttering/speed up lag issue

Question

This problem only occurs in online modes where the game stutters for a second or so and then speeds up.

I have a Lenovo gaming laptop with a Nvidia 1660 ti, i7, and 16 GB RAM. I use a Wi-Fi connection and an ethernet cable is not an option for me. EA FC 25 is installed through steam.

I have tried various solution including reinstalling windows, changing dns, and many other tweaks. Nothing has worked and I am considering buying a new pc or changing internet provider's.

This issue is beyond frustrating and renders EA FC 25 unplayable.

Please help.

Yeah I have a 4070 super with gigabit fiber optic Wi-Fi and I get this every other game for minutes at a time. It ain't u bro

@Boogi42069 Yeah forgot to mention its on and off, but i only get a minute or 2 each match without stuttering

@k1m0nsrfzrfa While on wifi it’s hard to rule out that’s not the reason. Wifi will definitely cause speed up lag.

@RadioShaqs Any idea if a powerline ethernet adapter would do any good.

@k1m0nsrfzrfa I am not sure. There has also been problems with steam and controllers if you look at the patch notes or other threads. Unless you can go wired just to try it not sure how you rule that out.
