EAFC25 gifting problems on STEAM
So my friend is trying to gift me EAFC25 Ultimate Edition on STEAM but he does not have the option to gift it to a friend.
Some info i can provide you:
- He already bought the game for himself
- For standard edition it's working
- He doesn't have any discounts (he didn't had EAFC24 on his account)
- We live in the same country (this is some useless info since it's a steam/EA problem, i mean he doesn't have the option to gift the Ultimate Edition but only the Standard Edition)
Can you please do something about it?
@Tataitzau most probably gifting on Ultimate Edition of EA FC25 is turned off due to differences in price (e.g. you are eligible for a discount because you owned EA FC24 or EA Play) and other people might not have the same discount, so in this case they decided to turn it off.
Otherwise this system could be abused as one person could be gifting the game with all the discounts other people are not eligible for.
The only option to gift an Ultimate Edition of the game in Steam, I'd say, is for your friend to gift you the money and then you'd buy it yourself.
And regarding the option to upgrade Standard edition to Ultimate... I don't see it in Steam, so most probably it is not available.
