EAFC25 is genuinely the worst FIFA game ever on release

FIFA/FC games have always been buggy messes on release. The player base gets annoyed then moves on as things are slowly patched over a year but this is genuinely the worst experience I have ever had ...

@RadioShaqs By what metric is this sports game of the year? Take the sales out of it, which is given because football is the largest sport on Earth & they just happen to have hoovered up all the licenses and shut the competition out with that.

1. The flagship game mode "Rush" is unplayable due to rubber banders, Evo completionists not even playing the mode and ruining it.

2. Gameplay wise "Friendlies, Div, Champs" are basically all the same especially if you get beyond div 8. There's no attacking A.I. in this game, every time EA mentions in one of their patch nodes there "fixing" the attacking A.I. there admitting themselves it's broken.

3. A large portion of the community despises this game from streamers, commentors, youtubers etc.

4. Career mode is just a re-skin of previous games even the manager animations are years old.

5. It's unrewarding. Packweights are so low you rarely so promo cards unless you hit the store.

6. They still force us to do these stupid Evo's one at a time and some of them have over 10 games.

7. It has connection issues and is unreliable. Anyone who denies this is lying.

8. Football IQ doesn't even exist in this game. What is it? And can I get some so my players don't just abandon their assigned roles.

@Tauntmatt I think it comes down to how people react. It’s just the thing to bash on ea. look at how nice people are on ufl. They say the game is terrible but do it in the nicest way.

If this was the worst fifa nobody would play it. Does it have problems yes. I play it because I like the game.

Do you still play it? Surely you don’t think this is the worst game ever and still play it.

But yea rush had a rough start with afk and they fixed it. I was one of the ones who disliked it. Should offense be manual yes. Passing is just to easy should it take more skill yes.

Like I said I don’t enjoy it enough to put in 40 games like others want but do others like the game even more than I do yes.

So really it’s no surprise it won sports gsme of the year with such a big following and some even want to play it more.

    @RadioShaqs No it's the worst game I've ever played. I buy my console to mainly play Football games and I'm borderline done. I don't care about completing anything or playing their fraudulent champs mode or anything. If this was GTA year I'd be gone.

    I really despised last years game too but this that makes 24 look like a masterpiece in comparison.

    @RadioShaqs have you ever been in a casino?
    i dont think so if you cant see the difference between fun and addiction. Nowadays in a casino dont play regular blackjack because they want quick money so they push more on side bets than regular game.
    Why this example? in ufl even if you spend money you need to play a lot of game to get normal player and the store pack is not addicting as fc pack gambling

    @xX8Pietro8Xx Do you want to see someone not be biased like you are?

    I don’t like all the promos and rewards. The game was much better market and trading wise when we had almost no rewards and no promos. But I can’t stop the I want better packs and more players so it’s no wonder ea gives the community what they want.

    Also nick did a ufl video and said they should remove the fair play slogan because it’s more pay to win that ea fc so lol. To be fair he bashes it in the nicest way possible though. Which would be nice if ea fc got the same constructive criticism.

    @RadioShaqs I foolishly decided to play Champs this weekend and came up against the same old 8/9 men crammed in the box, A.I. defenders shutting down every section of the pitch, invisible forces ignoring input & pulling players away from the ball, attackers sprinting backwards out of space, attackers making illogical runs offside, zero support in an attacking phase, contrived rebounds/deflections, tackle spamming, forwards being the best defenders in the game, high press on the backline, computer wins the ball for the them one through ball goal etc.

    This game makes things goal line clearances frustrating because you get hit with random slow motion animations whilst trying to kick it away while the opposition is spamming tackles around you. The "realism" isn't applied across the board.

    Also random inconsistent gameplay, one game the players feel slightly smooth then next feels like there running with glue on the bottom of their shoes and there trying to control a balloon that just bounces all over the place.

    @RadioShaqs I don't have a problem with rewards, cards, packs etc. If the gameplay is fun. But it isn't. This year even the menu content is complete garbage. This game is just garbage across the board now.

    @RadioShaqs constructive criticism maybe in 2018, 6 years later dealing with the same issue there is no point to be constructive with someone that doesnt listen. If they didnt listen years ago, why they should start listen now?
    I stopped play with fifa 17 and the main issue of teh games are carried on until today

    @Tauntmatt How can you not have a problem with rewards? It’s like a stock market sim. I mean gameplay isn’t perfect but that’s the fun part of the game.

    I realize the other guy is completely biased but he isn’t t wrong about that being a problem. The fun part is actually playing the game.

    @xX8Pietro8Xx Bro this game was up against WWE 2k24 which has problems but also has a robust single player mode that doesn't force you into the store. If you love card collecting you can head into MyFaction if that's your thing or you can get complete lost in the various modes from Showcase to my GM to that sandbox mode where you customize your own shows even the creation suite is one of the best I've seen in any game.

    But this copy and paste rehash that has actually gone backwards, wins sports game of the year, lol.

    @RadioShaqs Well why play ultimate team if not to unlock Icons behind the paywall (for example) Just play some other mode. The whole concept behind this mode is to pick up better cards and build super teams. It's a great concept that could be fun but it's ruined by horrible gameplay.

    I picked up Bobby Charlton from a pack. He was no better than any other CAM I've used especially when you're playing against auto-defending speed boosted monster CB's like Saliba+Van Dijk which is what you come up against nearly every match.

    It’s no wonder ea puts so much time into promos and rewards.  I often forget people like that. At least you are not as biased as the other guy. There are things you like about the game even if I disagree.

    @RadioShaqs Are you seriously saying that if the game were bad, no one would play it? Do you think the game is free? People paid money for it, so of course, they’re going to play it to get their money’s worth.
    By the way, I personally stopped playing the PS5 version because it’s so bad and unplayable. I switched to the PS4 version because it’s way better, though it still has some problems. But at least it’s playable.
    And when you say if the game were bad, it wouldn’t have won Game of the Year! There’s literally no competition, so of course, it won.
    Also, on the first release day, it was full of noticeable issues. From the first match I played, I noticed that when you command the AI to pressure the opponent, you lose control of your player, and he just starts walking on his own until he leaves the field. And you’re calling this the best game? Haha, that’s hilarious

    I just played my 36th match in a row against Real Madrid, this is some kind of nonsense, everyone chooses Real because it is already 50% of victory, the developers have greatly inflated all the indicators of this team, the seasons can safely be renamed to "try to beat Real Madrid.
