The game is unplayable after the update, it was very fun before but when every game ends with 25 goals scored it’s not fun. Defenders are pointless, might as well have statues out there for defense, and the goalie isn’t even a thing. Whoever approved this update needs to either play the game for himself and ask himself if he is actually having fun, or go find a different job because I thought this years FC game was one of their better ones until they completely ruined it with this update.

Don't listen to all these others saying the update is good....which is not. All it did was make it into a counterattack game with zero skill. These posters are likely.EA accounts trying to gaslight you. The game is basically a back and forth with overpowered dribbling and non existent defensive players who literally just stare at the players and ball go by them . Goalkeeper literally turning their backs on finesse shots and let's not forget the scripting. All they want to do is sell packs to satisfy the players that can't do anything without OP dribbling and speed

Was playing world class and was a grind. Losing some, winning some but needing full focus in every game. Had to increase difficulty to legendary after the update and attacking still feels overpowered and lifeless. Every shot ends up in the corner, through balls seem scripted and almost seems to isolate the defender in his spot, passing is ping pong again, turns seem unrealistic, player movement at times defies biomechanics. Adjusting sliders to make it realistic seems to make some games in career mode erratic in relation to first touch, speed, animations etc all seem glitchy and broken.It wasn't perfect before but enjoyed it more than this overpowered attacking, arcade * fest with ridiculous scorelines. Scoring goals is too easy and when it should require patience, effort and skill.

It’s not about not defending it’s about offense taking no skill now.What I don’t understand is one of the worst fifas was just like this and everyone complained enough ea changes it.It was the year when all everyone did was twirl with attackers and ping pong passed. The only way to defend was put attackers or fullbacks into cb roles. Sound familiar to this year?That’s when ea made pace less important and did accelerate body types. You can’t have defenders be useless like they are now.

Can't relate. Gameplay after this update is in my opinion the best since FIFA 14. I can't remember when was the last time I had so much fun playing FIFA/EA FC.

Since EA can’t sort out weird exploits in the game (like trivelas, VVD corners etc…), This is absolutely the RIGHT way to go. If u weight the game towards Defense being OP, bugs/exploits and RNG are gonna have a huge impact (I actually thought that was what EA wanted to keep kids playing). I’m positively surprised they went this way. So many things are still in need of fixing, but way to go EA for once!

They are actually taking a huge risk doing this (but I think it’s the right move long term). Increasing skill gap will maybe alienate kids buying cards. We should appreciate this! En mass!!

This is the best update to a FIFA game for years. Game was in the saddest state of any FIFA since I started in 2016….props to EA for actually putting in the effort. I thought they would shelf any changes until fc26. I’m really shocked people don’t like this update. I’m even enjoying games I end up losing.

@jabobisno1 25 goals? Even if your opponent leaves the goal wide open, you wouldn't score like that—it’s just ridiculous.
Yeah, I don’t like the gameplay, but this is nonsense.
I get that defense being more manual is a good thing, but overall, what the game really lacks is smooth and full control of the player. Right now, it’s so hard to dribble past one or two players because the player’s reactions and movements are too slow. Plus, the passing is just awful.
This is what the game really needs to improve on to actually be top-notch.

@mcballsslayer The ones who don’t like this update are the people who rely on the game to defend for them. After the update, defense became almost manual, and the AI doesn’t defend for them anymore. Plus, slow defenders now struggle to keep up with attackers who are way faster than them.

That’s why they don’t like it, but for me, I think it’s great and a step in the right direction. However, the game still needs full control over the players, faster dribbling, and less delay in skill moves. Passing also needs improvement. If they fix these things, the game would be amazing.

After the last Patch the defending is soo hard because my players they just standing around an watching the opponent run bye.
Before the last Patch I had lots of clean sheets but now it is almost impossible to get one out of 10 Games.
My defenders they don't play with any logic they just stand around...
