Pro Clubs Max Height Vs Min Weight

Hi all,

Just read about the new restrictions with created player maximum height in pro clubs.

While I welcome this addition, the graphic used did catch my eye, showing a Pro build at 6'5" and 99lbs.

I really think this needs to be looked at and restricted more.

6'5" at 99lbs is a BMI of 11. Their skeleton alone accounts for nearly 50% of their body weight.

A person's skeleton normally would account for just 10-14%.

This person would likely be in hospital, or under medical supervision, not swatting aside football players who are twice their weight.

A "normal" BMI for this height would be around 16, with the recommended weight being 156lbs for females, and 210lbs for males.

A quick search of football players who are roughly 6'5" tall, shows weights of around 190lbs, or more.

Eg:

Wojciech Szczęsny 6'5" 198lbs

Dan Burn 6'7" 190lbs

Joel Matip 6'5" 190lbs

Niklas Süle 6'5" 218lbs

...

& Peter Crouch - regarded by many as a skinny rake of a player - 6'7" 175lbs

There are no players at all that are remotely close to being 99lbs at that height.

While there should still be some freedom when creating Pros, allowing them to have such low weights at such large heights is comical for a game that is based somewhat in reality.

I suppose some would also conclude that allowing this is also promoting unhealthy body images, which is widely regarded these days as something Media/TV/Games shouldn't be doing as it has a negative impact on society as a whole in addition to the mental health of susceptible people.

It's yet another thing that pushes this game firmly towards "arcade experience" and even further away from "simulation".

Personally, I'd like to see a better minimum weight implemented for each height. 156lbs for 6'5" would be a good suggestion for both sexes, and numbers that are a lot closer to reality than what is being proposed, while still allowing a lot of freedom.

Without some adjustments it could likely turn into another year of watching teams of physics defying skinny clowns abuse the game mechanics over and over.

Thanks for your time.
