Quit on a penalty

Am I losing my marbles or did I not read an update about how when an enemy concedes a penalty and quits that you will be granted the win... just finished a game where I was down 0-3 and brought it back to 3-3, was then awarded a pen to potentially go up 4-3 and the opponent quit before the penalty. No win, no rivals points awarded.. waste of time.
