@mickjacobjr do we know how long the partnership is for? I thought it may have ended at the same time as Napoli, Lazio and Roma?

Yes, but I suspect that Lazio and Atalanta had extended again with Konami or that the partnership runs for 3 or 4 years instead. Wasn't it once said that when the partnership ended, the teams would automatically come back to ea? So one thing is certain: Serie A and ea have extended their partnership, see the official fc25 page. An announcement will be made about this soon
Roma signed with Konami the year before Atalanta and Lazio. Napoli appear to have cancelled their deal that they only signed a couple of years ago.
Therefore I think we will need to wait to EA 26 to see if either Atalanta or Lazio come back.
So starhead wise. What are everyone's thoughts on which teams will be scanned and which teams/players are on your wish lists?
So far it looks like:
Premiership rescan (hopefully the full league)
PSG rescan
Celtic and Rangers scans
Any others?
I really hope a lot of the Premiership youth players are scanned this year! Expecially if they have new features for the youth players in career mode. If more youth players are scanned it allows you to do longer career modes. Last year was really disappointing for young player scans!
- @jtswfc93 IT looks Brandt and adeyemi are updated, not sure but maybe a Bundesliga rescan or ea have scanned all Partnerteams. But for official news we must waiting for the beta. Some Serie A players are not in the game. Frankfurt has not all faces. But I think we see this year some surprises. About Cranium some people say on Twitter these are better generics. That's not true, I saw a picture from nfcaa. This Ai made from Fotos customs. Not perfect, but better than generics.
- @kiesch86 yeah I saw some shots from the college football game and the faces are on par with a lot of custom faces that EA make. The faces aren't perfect but you can tell it's the correct person. I'd love for that technology to be used across as many generic players as possible. If it can create an almost custom quality face without the time it takes to make a custom then hopefully that will make career mode much more playable. I'd probably consider not transferring away half my team every time I do a career mode if the generic faces were good enough to actually tell it's meant to be that player
Cranium tech is just faces generated by photos using the in-game 'Create Player' tools. So yes they are still Generic. But they will still look way better as its a way of editing EVERY Generic face just like ive been asking to do for 10+ years! As i think you can get Generic faces close to the Custom face level if given the right tools. But whether EA have to add the photos for players to generate the faces or we can do it ourselves is the question, as you would basically need to import images first before the A.I. can do its work..
So anyone expecting realistic faces for Sheff Wed etc its not happening..
- Yes, but as I said, a thousand times better than the generic faces in the game. Let's be surprised when the first Cranium faces arrive. I could well imagine that we will already see some in the beta. I agree with you, in 1 to 2 years we will be able to create the players with the AI ourselves.
No way we are getting faces for lower league players, lol, EA still have to produce the photos for players for the A.I. to generate the image to create the Cranium face..
It will be for players like Mainoo who never got a face in FC 24 not for ALL players in the game..
- Guys, I noticed something. Last year before the Laliga game faces, acuna came with face yes in a sofa update, which was later removed. Then came the rescan of Laliga in FC24. We now had the same thing with todibo from Nice. I may be wrong, but it could be a clue. Why should todibo get a game face? There are also 4 teams promoting FC25: Nice, Lens, Rennes and Monaco. No other team yet. The 2. The game faces from Lille are still missing. In the lens trailer, the stadium is specifically shown at the beginning. Let's see what happens. Like I said, I could be wrong. In the trailer from ligue1 there was the following emoji 🤝 for ea from ligue1
- No other team from LaLiga or Bundesliga and Premier League, except the partner clubs, have advertised so far. Why Ligue1 clubs?
I hope this year isn't a massive let down like last year. I'm hoping we see some ligue 1 faces and we also get more scanned managers too!
I'd be over the moon with a full premiership rescan. Partner club scans/rescans and then ligue 1 getting a similar update to what serie A did last year with teams like Nice, Lens, Lyon etc being scanned!
I'm trying not to get too excited because I'll end up feeling let down when beta gets released but this year is looking good for ligue 1 scans. We already know PSG has had a rescan, Lens posting a scan of their stadium is a good indication that they got scanned, Lille's stadium which hopefully means they we're scanned and then other ligue 1 teams like Monaco advertising the game on their socials. So many great young talents in Ligue 1!
- @jtswfc93 That would also make sense why ligue1 briefly posted last year that all stadiums are in play. I'm sure that was planned and ea quickly said, be careful, not all the stadiums are finished yet, we'll postpone it again. This year in particular it would be fitting as ligue1 now has McDonald's as a sponsor. Also why did Orban of Lyon get in gameface? It also makes no sense that EA brings the Lille stadium but no scans. As far as scans in general are concerned, I'm sure we're seeing fewer and fewer leaks since EA forbids the leagues so that nobody notices.

None of this matters if new Star Heads STILL dont work in existing Career Mode saves!!
As no doubt we will get most of the Star Heads over 20+ Title Updates!
