Most likely two more updates till EOY.  

However, are any of you aware about this?

"When you start a career mode and a squad update comes afterwards, you can get those faces back into your career mode by saving and going back out to the main menu and running a squad update and afterwards going back to your career and those players that were added or updated with starheads / real faces will update in your career mode"

Is this true? I never tried it, but might be something new with EA FC 25 and I would love to have it.

They give us more faces at release only to then make us wait longer for the updates. What a joke. So many held back faces it's crazy. If anything the better quality generics are now making EA even more lazy with scans. 

These craniums they are adding should only be for players they aren't able to scan but they have craniums for the likes of Hinselwood of Brighton and they got scanned last summer and so did many other teams in the PL who still have dated scans from 4 or 5 years ago.

Cranium faces are just a better version and more variety of a generic that’s all they are 

I said it before. Cranium is not a good thing.

Didn't buy Ea.

River Plate and Ajax have 8 players between them scanned. 

And not even the best players with Ajax.

These french teams have max 8 players scanned. Most teams less.

Were all those missing serie A teams players?

The team who had most new scans was f*cking Luton town last year

Not sure even if the holiday update will bring the faces we're looking for.

Btw - has anyone tried or does anyone know if an update comes during your active career mode, apparently if you update squads and go back into your career mode - the new faces will be updated as well? TRUE STATEMENT, OR?!

In my career save started last week, James Rodriguez and Juan Mata have real faces added in the title update 4 and 5 november squad update.

This Time EA did good and they fail to communicate on this....

These are old faces re-added not new faces. Its always worked this way. Because players with a face are coded differently than those without and an update is requiered to add new faces. The updates don't change the code on the players who didn't have a face though. 

I was wondering whether with the cranium faces though all players are ‘coded’ so that if and when they get a scan they would implement into old saves? In theory? 

I think it works like this :

in db

players have attributes like :

player.starhead = true or false.

player.starhead.texture = null or id of the file texture (111).

The texture files have attributes like:

head.id = 111

head.file = 1564.png

When a player already have a starhead but its updated via title update:

head.file value is changed or 1564.png is updated

no need to update squad file and since existing career saves are probably just and copy of squad file updated during your career:

player.starhead.texture still value 111, starhead will be updated.

lm pretty sure it works like this until this year.

the issue with this is when your player have player.starhead = false.

In this case, u used to need a squad update to change player.starhead to true and player.starhead.texture from null to  id of the file texture (112).

So your already started career will not get the update.

BUT 

maybe cranium faces have change everything, maybe cranium face are generated png and every player have starhead at true and a file texture related.

Maybe as textures files are not squad update related, textures will update just with title update ?

I guess we will find out in 2037 when EA add all the held back Scans into the game...

For the Premier League, these are players who may have had face scans held back. This isn't including players who joined the league this summer.

There are also players like Ben White, Martin Odegaard, Lisandro Martinez and Antony who have custom faces but I don't think they can scan Arsenal and United due to their Konami partnership. Sime other players with very dated scans like Jarrod Bowen may have a scan being held back. I expect all of these players to have a face scan coming in a future update along with the newly promoted teams face scans and good craniums for all the players unscanned who joined this summer. Please EA release all the held back scans it's very frustrating for those of us who don't want to wait until March or April to start a career mode.

Man Utd and Arsenal have been scanned in the past when Konami partners so I doubt that has changed or that was the case Old Trafford and The Emirates Stadium wouldn’t be in the game
