Restrictive Matchmaking in Online Seasons
Hi, Can anyone playing the ea fc 25 beta please let us know if restrictive matchmaking works in Online Seasons? If i pick a 4 star team, will the game give me games with 5 star teams like Man City, ...

Let's be real here and use some common sense. When I play Seasons my preference is to play as Leeds United or Bristol City, Leeds being 4 star and I forgot what City's is, anyways, it's very rare I come up against someone else with a 4 star team. There are factors at play here. Not only does there have to be someone else choosing to play a game at the same time as you with a 4 star team, but also in similar division. Yes the system in flawed, but it's basing it off skill level of the player as well as the team and finding someone pressing play at the same time..if they kept you waiting for someone else with a 4 star team you'd complain about how long it takes to get a match. Of course the system is flawed and there are lots which EA need to improve on, but for this personally I'd say it's a community issue, because everyone wants to play with Mbappe.
Fyi this is not me having a go, but realistically I don't think this is something EA can improve unless more players play Seasons and pick lower rated teams
@thurlow885 you clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. restrictive matchmaking doesnt mean a 4 star team always get another 4 star team. you can be matched with a team 0.5 star higher too. so if you pick leeds, you can get man utd, chelsea, ac milan, dortmund, leverkusen, newcastle, spurs, juventus, napoli, roma. you get the drift? this was the norm before EA Fc 24. i always only use 4 or 4.5 star teams. and i have never waited more than 5 mins for a game.
common sense, you say? is it common sense for the restrictive matchmaking option to be there and for it not completely not work? is it common sense for seasons players to spend 90 euros on the game to be matched with real madrid every game just because some dude at EA refuses to turn on a feature which was always in the game before ea fc 24??
think you missed my point and for clarity what I mean is when I choose Leeds I still often came up against City, Liverpool, PSG, France, Real Madrid etc not very time, but often enough that I kinda gave up using them and as frustrating as it is that's because they the teams most people are picking. The irony is when I started picking France and Psg to do the whole can't beat em join them then I'd come up against other teams. All luck of the draw and we are relying on people online to make similar choices to us for it to work

Used to play seasons loads, but now it's kinda boring for reasons stated and that's a community issue not an EA issue
I don’t understand why you can’t understand what I’m saying. It is 100% an EA issue because if restrictive matchmaking was turned on, you will not get Real, City, PSG endlessly. This was the norm in FIFA 23 and the titles before that. For EA FC 24, they turned restrictive matchmaking off, despite the option being there, and that is why you get the 5 star teams even with Leeds. what i am asking for is for the matchmaking system to go back to what it was like in FiFA 23 and before.

We must have been playing different games then because I've had the issue for years hence why I lost interest in the mode and maybe your not understanding what I say. If no one is picking a 4 star team or lower whilst your trying to play how can you be matched? Can only get a match against what's available
