I seem to struggling to find how to change formations and to adjust then(using square on playstion) to positions I want them to be?

You can't move players freely anymore if that's what you are attempting to do.
You can, however, instruct them to an extent where to move in and out of possession.
Is this what you are after? It does take a little playing with you get used to the new way but it is good.
I don’t like the new set up I hope they change it.
cant change my formation in a game if im down to 10 men.
have to spend 20 minutes creating a new tactic which might not even fit with the player sent off.
Gone if the days turning it on having a quick game .
they have destroyed the simplicity of the game.
if I wanted to do all this of play football manager.
- @blue166 I really can't believe they took this out. the second yearin a row where something was removed that no one asked to be removed.
