I see what you are saying.
However, on the flip side here you conceded 4 goals I see. We're any of them avoidable? Like we're you at fault for them? - Could they have been avoided in the build up??
XG is only soo good to an extent. I mean I have had games where I have been all over my opponent but they have posed a threat all game on the counter. But I have had 60/70% possession and can't get near the goal. I have then scored from a byline run and drilled the ball across goal, hit the CB and gone in. XG wise I looked awful. But in reality totally deserved the win. If you get my drift.
I understand the XG side. But that only ever tells part of the story. I see you should have scored more so I guess the goalkeeper on the side was having a good day?
I totally understand the frustration. I have the same at times. I equally have probably won games when the stats have also pointed the other way. It does happen for and against I find.

From the start of the game,
1-If you feel the players moving slowly, the AI is working against you ................ you will lose the game.
2—When your player passes the ball to point B instead of Point A or to the foot of your opponent, you will Lose the game.
3- when you're 60 to 70%, in ball position and the game is tied, or you are ahead with one or two goals and your opponent scores in the last minute. You will Lose the game.
The opponent with the worst players plays better and wins the game.
The opponent who spent more time playing the game gets the upper hand, wins the game
and every update takes the game from bad to worse
I would love to find out how EA AI programmed

"We're any of them avoidable?" Yes GK AI could save one of the far outside finesse shots or even I could defend better if I had a responsive gameplay or if I had AI support like my opponent...
I consider expected goals and saves statistics at the same time...

haha if those statistics don't provide proof that no matter what you do there is ALWAYS something working against you then I don't know what else will...
Your opposition had 11 saves and you only had 2, (there's all the proof I need) the game definitely wanted you to lose that's for sure.

Another example....your game is **** @EA
- @vfxhomeland The biggest problem is offense doesn’t take skill. It would be different if both of you played manual offense.
The key take away is whoever has more shots and more possession is usually the worst player. It shouldn’t be that way but it is. It’s so easy to get up and down the field that anyone holding more possession is usually struggling.
Now that’s not always the case and match facts don’t actually show how the game actually went but more times than not the person who dominates has less stats.
They really need to make offense manual and take skill so when you show off match facts you would think more possession and shots meant something but they don’t. - vfxhomeland7 months agoNew Traveler
I don't really care about the possession stat but I think number of saves and expected goals are among the very few things that still work in this game.
It is really annoying and unacceptable when AI forces you to not score and forces you to lose the game. It also happens the other way around. There are games that I don't deserve a win because my opponent has better skills however I can win because of the AI. This case is also annoying and unacceptable.

Shooting and goal keeping needs to be seriously looked at.
I have had games when my 89 Ter Stegen with full chemistry has not been able to stop anything! In one game of champs playoffs I lost 21-0, the guy would just run his attacker in from the corners of the penalty area and score EVERY time. It was a complete joke of a game.
In @vfxhomeland's OP what factors determined why one keeper made 11 saves but the other one only made 2?
What factors determined why 4 out of 8 shots scored for one player but only 3 out of 16 shots scored for the other player?
It's the games programming algorithm that determined these outcomes!
- @vfxhomeland Those too. It shows you are struggling with finishing. If it was on manual the skill gap would be larger. The better players usually doesn’t need as many shots to score. You can’t take any of the match facts seriously. The only one that really matters is goals scored.

Yes that's the point. "It shows you are struggling with finishing" I green 90% of my shots and still in some games AI doesn't let me to score...This situation is apart from the moments that player hits the bar, attacker suddenly gets half of the pace I expect (it is either that or the attacker rushes with 999 pace to offside position).
Sruggling in finishing is a lack of skill and should happen consistently.
I am not a pro but I have played this game for many years (being in div 1 or elite div) that I can tell what is the skill issue and what is the gameplay issue.
