Uefa coefficient

I just realised in my career with Schalke 04, that the Bundesliga doesn't have the fifth ucl Spot since the fourth season of my career and for one year they only had three spots after that it changed back to four. 

Is it possible that the uefa coefficient for the Extra ucl Spot and the five years Ranking of the uefa is included in the game?

If thats not the case im wondering why this would happen then.
