Black Screen Launching FC 25 PC

I'm experiencing an issue when launching FC 25 on PC through the EA App. After starting the game, everything seems fine on the save selection screen, but when I choose a save, the screen goes black. I can still hear the game sounds, but the black screen remains. I've tried various solutions I found online, but the problem persists.

I even had my friend log into my account on their PC, and they encountered the same issue. However, when I logged into my friend's EA account on my PC, the problem disappeared.

Could you please investigate and help resolve this issue?

  • Hey everyone, I just resolved this issue a few minutes ago, and I thought it would be helpful to share my experience here. First off, the issue wasn’t related to my computer specs or any settings on my PC. I spent over 10 hours searching for solutions and trying various configurations, but nothing worked. Eventually, I had my friend log into my EA account on their computer, but they also couldn’t play, which confirmed for me that the problem was with my EA ID.

    The way I fixed it was by remembering that I had logged into the game on my laptop before, and when loading the save, it gave me the option to choose between 'Local' or 'Cloud.' I selected the local save, which was from about two weeks ago. I’m not sure what data might have been rolled back, but I’m fairly confident that Ultimate Team (UT) doesn’t rely on save data from that selection, so my UT should be safe. After selecting the local save (as shown in the picture), the game launched normally, and the black screen issue disappeared.

    P.S. I’m sure the whole problem was caused by a corrupted game save. For those who haven’t logged in from another computer, I’m unsure how you could trigger the Cloud Sync screen to appear.

    If anyone has additional insights or alternative solutions, please share your knowledge with others facing the same issue as me. Hope everyone can fix this issue. Good luck!

    i currently have the problem but cant get that option to pop p to choose between local or cloud save. i haven't been able to play fro 3 weeks!

    Can any support help with this, I have this same problem and I don't know how to get the option to choose between "Local" or "Cloud" save.

    When my PC abruptly restarted while the game was on, I cannot enter the game anymore, I get the same black screen. Also my EA app shows that I have 10 minutes playtime, which means the playtime reset on the EA app but stayed at 92 hours on the Steam app.

  • Ok I found the solution to my problem, it was to delete the settings profile after launching the game.

  • @AyrisX I thing that @Isabrat means to delete it by select ths "s" option when that game starts. I did it, it solved but only for the first time that the game loaded. When i tried to play nect day, the black screen appears again.
  • i cannot trigger the cloud or local save option, can someone please help with this? the black screen problem has been an issue with me for the past 5 days..

    You simple have to go to documents ea fc25 file and delete the entire file then the game will start as new but your UT will come back
