EA FC 25 on Game Pass PC doesn’t detect PS4 controller (though Windows does)
Hello,
I’m playing EA SPORTS FC 25 on PC through Xbox Game Pass / EA Play.
I’m using a wired PS4 DualShock controller, which is properly recognized by Windows (as “Wireless Controller”), Steam, DS4Windows, and other games – including EA FC 24.
However, in EA FC 25, the game doesn’t detect the controller at all, and only shows “Keyboard and Mouse” as the input option in Settings. There's no option to switch to a gamepad/controller.
I’ve already tried multiple fixes:
- Launching the game through Steam with Steam Input forced ON
- Using DS4Windows
- Changing USB ports and cables
- Deleting the configuration file
- Reinstalling, rebooting, and using windowed mode
None of these worked.
This issue only occurs with the Game Pass/EA Play version. I suspect it’s a bug related to UWP protection or EA’s input handling changes in FC 25 that only allow XInput (Xbox) controllers.
Will EA release a patch to restore PS4 controller support in the UWP version? Or is there a workaround available?
Thank you!
