Game Crashes

Hey everyone,

I’ve been dealing with this super frustrating issue on FC25 (PS5) in Ultimate Team, and I’m wondering if anyone else is going through the same thing — or has found a fix.

Here’s what’s happening:

• I load into a match and sometimes it gets stuck at the opponent’s squad screen
• Other times the screen goes completely black right before kickoff
• Occasionally it lets me into the match normally… but then the next 2–3 games crash again
• When it happens, I either get booted with “Lost connection to opponent” or the game freezes, and I have to restart the whole app

I’m playing in Jacksonville, Florida, on wired Ethernet with stable internet (ping usually 45–55ms, download 70+ Mbps). This has been going on for about 6–7 days now, and I’ve tried literally everything:

✅ Rebuilt the PS5 database

✅ Cleared system software cache

✅ Deleted and reinstalled the game (from the owner’s library — I’m sharing PS Plus, but that’s never been an issue before)

✅ Tried both my account and the main one

✅ Deleted all local data/saved squads

✅ Rebooted router & changed DNS just in case

At this point I’m convinced it’s something on EA’s end, like a server desync or corrupted club data. I’ve even had a few games work totally fine — which is what makes it so confusing.
