Missing player Seasons mode

I’m not sure what’s going on but all of the sudden I’ll be missing my left wing and they won’t be on the field for the rest of the match. In this case I’m using Portugal and I’m missing Leao. I go down to 10 players with no red card at all. This has happened multiple times in Seasons mode.
