More than 10 years and always the same problem (disconnect during squad battles)

I can’t believe this is still happening after more than 10 years.

Different routers, different providers, different consoles (PS4, PS4 Pro, now PS5), always wired, UPnP active , same exact problem every year.
And before someone says “your connection”: no, because I’ve played hundreds of online matches without a single disconnect (only a couple in 15 years, and those were real internet outages).

This only happens in Squad Battles and other so-called “offline” modes. You get kicked from EA servers even if your internet is perfectly fine. The match is wasted, objectives wasted, Squad Battles ranking wasted.

Clearly this is not a player issue. It’s a server/session management problem that EA never fixed. And it’s ridiculous, because people have been reporting this since FIFA 15 (or earlier!) and nothing changed.

Why should we still deal with this in 2025? And probably again in FC 26?

    Thanks for the link, but these are the same generic suggestions I’ve checked hundreds of times over the years. I don’t agree with the statement ‘if you were disconnected then there was a connection problem.’ I mean, I can accept that in general this might be true, but in this case the issue is clearly 100% on the server or the game, not on my side. Otherwise, how do you explain that one out of four Squad Battles disconnects, while I can play 50 online matches in a row without a single problem? And just to make it clear, over all these years I’ve only ever had these kinds of connection issues with FIFA and FC, never with any other game.

    Hi , i am from Germany and got exactly The Same Problems ! Over many Years over ive tried Everything ! 3 Provider , 10 routers , 20 Displays , VPN and and and. I got in 99 of 100 Games Delay ! The Connection Test of EA give my Connection 98/100 Points . The Connection must be Perfect ! But its Ridicoulos Delayed . I am sure Ea got Bad Routing . I Play in 9 of 10 Games vs Player from other Countrys , France , UK , NED . 

    My Speedtest is 260 mb Download and 40 mb Upload . Thats Perfect ! I got Only in EA FC Connection Problems .

    Hey all, connection issues are something that you would need to work on from your end.

    If the issue was with servers then everyone would be having issues at the same time and our team would let everyone know
