Online Service disabled - PS4 - EA FC 25
My 14 year old son pre-ordered EAFC 25 a couple of months ago on his Playstation 4 account. He installed it this morning but keeps getting the message:

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? No access to any online features inc Ultimate Team, Career Mode, etc Error saying parental controls restricting it but there are no parental controls and account for a 14 yr old.
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing, online features not available.
What should be happening instead? Online features should work
My son can’t load his ultimate team or anything online. It has an error message saying parental controls mean there aren’t online services. The FC points haven’t loaded either. Very frustrating! FC24 works perfectly well. Account is age 14 and all parental control removed!
- @Dance_mum03 lots of us in the same boat - seems to only be affecting 13/14yr olds on PS4 - EA don't seem to care - I've spoken to someone via chat (2.5hrs) and got no progress and have had a case open for 2 days with no response.
Thanks for letting me know we’re not alone! I’ve also emailed [edit: email address removed] and even messaged @easportfc on instagram. It feels helpless! So hard to get hold of anyone and make a complaint. Just want an acknowledgment that they are aware and looking into it!
- @LittleKidWolves Same problem - can't even find a way to open a case! They make it so difficult

Exactly the same problem - I was up half the night trying different options.
My son (13) is not a happy bunny having spent the extra for Ultimate edition
I’ve been told it might be something to do with the EA account it’s linked to but this doesn’t have any parental controls either, such a nightmare and no solution that I can see!
Any solutions for this yet?
My kid still cant get in and play.- @Dance_mum03 I have also the same problem. My 14 year old son cannot use the online features even though we have no parental controls. We didnt have this issue on FC24 which is interesting.
I have been in contact with EA via chat and the only solution they gave me was links to articles to their FAQ's 🙂 and to contact PlayStation support, which I have done now. Lets see if they can do something about this.- @Jonalm76 Please keep us posted - same problem here, and I can’t even get through to PS support.
I have the same issue (My son is 14) - EA customer service is totally useless ☹️
- @Dance_mum03 Exactly the same problem here too. Very disappointed teen having saved up to buy the game. No problems with Ultimate Team in FC24, no problems with parental controls or online access in any other game.
@EA_cuervo bug reports also raised for EA FC 25 and multiple threads in Technical Issues forum. All related to under 15s not being able to play online when using PS4. Can anyone confirm that this has been escalated to EA support since I have seen no indication that anyone is doing anything?
I’ve tried to raise it many times and it just takes me round in a circle and I never get as far as being able to log anything.
@EA_cuervo @EA_Vendcera Still waiting to hear any confirmation on these threads that this is actually being looked at by EA and Sony. It doesn’t sound like any more than classification issue between you both. Can someone confirm officially the age to play EAFC25 online in the UK? If this is over 16 can it be confirmed that this age limit applies to all versions, PS5, PS4 PC etc. and if so why it only seems to be PS4 users encountering this issue?
I have the same issue with my son's account.
Called sony - they state it is an issue with EA FC25.
Opened a ticket at EA support. Nothing yet.
I hope there will be a fix soon - or the coming years no money will be spend on future EA products !
