PC Player, Console Friends Can't See Me - Bugged Account?

Hi there,

I have just purchased FC 25 and I am facing an issue in that the social and invite system doesn't seem to be working properly. I CAN see and invite any and all of my friends to any kind of lobby, and the game seems to work properly in that sense. We can play games without an issue IF I am the one sending the invite.

However, if any of my several friends try to invite me, my PC account (the one on which I am playing), doesn't appear on their list of friends (either online or offline), although my Xbox account does. If they try to invite my Xbox account, I receive the invite, but when I try to accept it, I am told that the 'game session is no longer available' and that I may not join the lobby. My PC account and Xbox account are both visible on their RT/R2 social menu, but I cannot be successfully invited to any gamemode apart from Rush (which seems to use the regular social menu rather than the separate invite menu used in every other gamemode). They are also unable to promote me to be a club manager in Clubs, which leads me to believe that there may be an issue with my account (?). All of my friends play on the latest generation of console (Xbox Series X), while I play on PC. They are also able to see and invite another friend who plays on PC, although he has not been on in a while so we cannot confirm whether this is a new issue, whether it affects him, or whether he is able to invite me.

So far, I/we have tried the following:

  • Toggling crossplay off and on again (to confirm, it was on originally, and is on now)
  • Removing each other as friends and adding each other back
  • Blocking and unblocking each other
  • Several game and console/PC restarts
  • Reconfiguring firewall access to ensure all traffic sent and received by FC 25 is allowed through
  • Unlinking my Xbox account from my EA account (friends were still able to see my PC account in the RT/R2 social menu, but not in the invite menu)
  • Relinking my Xbox account to my EA account
  • Purchasing the game via the EA app, after having already purchased and tried it on Steam (neither app/installation fixes the issue - both seem to be broken)

I may have missed some of the troubleshooting steps that I have tried so far, but these are all of them to the best of my memory.

I have already tried contacting EA support about this issue and they told me that there was nothing that they could do.

    1. I can’t play ultimate team since yesterday, every time it says “ trouble creating game session” I’ve contacted two ea employees and it has not changed anything, I’ve changed my clubs name 5  times, repaired the game, cleaned the cache, restarted my router and nothing works. PLS HELP
