Player stats reset in player career

So I decided I wanted to change my players position in player career, upon doing so it rest my entire overall, even lower than what it was when I first started! Right now it seems irreversible, I tried reallocating all of my skill points, but it still won’t go higher than 66. This is a very difficult bug to deal with
