Re: HDR completely Broken

@NeikosrOx

You likely have a mismatch between the monitor settings and the PC settings.

Make sure display related settings such as HDR Range (limited or full) match on the display and PC.

Thanks.

Nope, I don't think so... this issue is only present with FC25 and not any of my more than 100 games library. I Have also attached a picture of all the settings, both monitors are calibrated and work just fine with any other game.

What I found is if u set in game resolution to window borderless then HDR works correct but it then locks u to 60hz which is pance! So seems to be an issue with FC 25 running 120hz plus in HDR.. then the game looks washed out

  • Same issue as above. No fix, only work arounds. From my research looks like this issue was present on FC 24 as well

  • Tried this but did not work on Window Borderless for me. It did work on windowed though but with the same 60hz issue.

  • When is the fix coming?
I just bought a new 4k monitor, and now the same issue
there is no toggle for HDR and obviously no proper workaround!!

Hey guys, I had the same issue with Samsung G8 and fixed it by setting local dimming off under monitor's settings >> System >> Local Dimming.

    My workaround for this is

    Load fc25 as normal

Alt tab open hdr calibration tool on the first slider amend the slider as normal then back out and go back into fc25 hdr is properly enabled then.

Before doing this trick everything is washed out and no contrast or colour hardly after doing it things are as it should be with hdr.

Did the same on my old LG hdr ips display aswell as new oled hdr400

Force icc works also but then it disables freesync for me

This doesn't seem like an HDR settings issue. I have the same kinds of issues with FA25 while all my other games are fine.

In the FA25 video calibration screen it shows washed out pink and wants the monitor adjusted to make it red - but the game isn't outputting red and no amount of calibration or settings tweaks are going to make enough difference.

I've tried the hacks and workarounds in this thread and none of them work. Turning off all HDR in windows and using a non-hdr monitor does make the game playable (although it still looks pretty drab) but I can't get it to look good on an HDR monitor no matter what settings I try... even using windows compatibility modes doesn't fix it. The game really needs an option to turn off the broken HDR attempt (or a fix)
