Region Routing Issues for South African Players in FC 25 Seasons Mode

South African players participating in the Seasons mode of FC 25 are encountering significant matchmaking issues where servers are being routed to regions outside of South Africa to Europe, instead of utilizing local servers. This results in increased latency and a suboptimal gaming experience, negatively affecting gameplay quality and fairness. The consistent use of non-local servers undermines performance and diminishes player enjoyment. Prompt attention to this issue is essential to ensure that South African players can access local servers when matchmaking, enhancing connectivity and improving the overall experience in the Seasons mode.

  • I have the same problem but in Ultimate team , since Saturday I have a bad ping in rivals and ut champs games 

  • Same here! Playing from Brazil, and being routed to North America and Europe Servers on seasons and seasons coop. Ping is very high. Impossible to get a good and fair gameplay. Tried contact with EA but aparently the only solution is to wait for an update.

    So I stopped playing this game months ago because of this issue. I reinstalled it today thinking, "surely this has been fixed by now", but of course it hasn't. Jesus, I have never met a company who has as much contempt for their clients as EA. 

    Pity, I used to enjoy FIFA, makes me sad that it is finally over.

    @EA_Aljo any idea why South African's have been having routing issues for nearly a year? Do we still have local data centres in South Africa? I used to be able to easily get local matches for Seasons, now every single match has high latency. It has made the game unplayable. The silence from EA is deafening and the support channels keep trying to get me to do first line support, when CLEARLY it is affecting a whole lot of people. 

    Please can someone do or say something, anything??

    I have also included a speed test to show that I have an excellent connection. I do not have this issue with any other online game which has SA servers. This is insane, what is going on with this game?

  • I have the same problem but in Australia 2/5 games are playable. It's like they forgot about regions because I find a game in about 10s

  • It's do you think maybe only some accounts are affected? Like what else could lead to this issue being unresolved? I literally quit in the first second of gameplay the minute I see the yellow/red lag symbol. I still end up with a good game within a few minutes

    This company can eat these nuts. Never buying another. 

    This makes me really sad, been playing since 94.
