Security Violation: This software cannot be used as the game.

Hi,

I cant open FC 25 because it says "This software cannot be used as the game. Please make sure it's not running, or restart your PC. (84): DiscSoftLTD (DaemonTools)" and i dont know what to do. I uninstalled DaemonTools and i dont use ReWASD or Astroburn. What should I do?

  • So I found a solution, you need to go to device manager, then to storage controllers and disable daemon tools lite virtual scsi bus, then go to universal serial bus controllers and disable daemon tools lite virtual usb bus and the game will work again.

Thanks to Kzpr for the help! (I wrote this just to clarify)

No, everyone knows that and tried that already. It does not work for many people.

This is the most ridiculous reason to block people from the game. Just because someone is using this software to cheat, they are punishing us all. It's like banning driving because somebody passed the red light... And it does NOT explain why we can not play even if we stop the process or uninstall. I **bleep** the day i purchased **bleep** from ea... Never ever again.

  • Hi came across this on Steam Forum. The solution was for f1 24 but I tried applying it to fc 25 and it worked. So here goes:

    fix:
    1. Download "DriverStoreExplorer"
    2. Start Rapr.exe as Admin
    3. Let it Load
    4. Sort for "Provider"
    5. Look for Disc Soft in searchbox
    6. mark all drivers in the Disc Soft category
    7. On the Right mark Force Deletion
    8. Hit Delete Driver(s)
    9. Go to "C:\Program Files\EA\AC"
    10. Start "EAAntiCheat.Installer.Exe" as Administrator
    11. Select FC 25 (f1 24) in the dropdown
    12. Hit Uninstall
    13. Hit Install
    14. When asked select your FC 25 (F1 24) main install folder

    Done.

    Hope it helps!!

Guys!!! when i checked out what Daemon tools were i realized the icon for the application looked exactly like the ReWASD application but blue instead of yellow, so i decided i'd remove it from my computer and the game works now, if you are having this issue but don't have Daemon tools, but do have ReWASD then uninstall it, all I did was use the uninstall tool in the ReWASD files. if you do not have ReWASD look for an app with a similar icon to both ReWASD and Daemon Tools! hope this helps!!

    Solved!

First Uninstall FC25, then uninstall EA App. Your computer will be free of the spyware and trojan.
