Server Istanmbul
Dear EA Support,
I’m writing as a passionate FIFA (EA SPORTS FC) player from Eastern Europe.
We kindly request that you consider launching an official game server in Istanbul, Turkey.
There are several reasons this would significantly improve the experience for thousands of players in this region:
1. High player base — Turkey, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Georgia, and the Balkans have a large and active FIFA/FC player population.
2. Modern infrastructure — Istanbul already hosts AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure data centers. Technically, the region is ready.
3. High ping issues — Currently, most players in Eastern Europe connect to Frankfurt servers, experiencing 60–90 ms ping, often with delays, input lag, and stutter during online play (especially in FUT Champs and Rivals).
4. Growing community — This region has strong FUT participation, eSports talent, and expanding interest in the EA FC ecosystem.
5. Precedent — Similar to the server openings in Cape Town, Mumbai, and Saudi Arabia, Istanbul is a strategic candidate to reduce latency for millions of users.
Adding an Istanbul server would reduce ping for us by 30–50 ms and greatly improve gameplay responsiveness.
Please forward this request to your server and infrastructure team.
We, the community from Eastern and Southeastern Europe, would deeply appreciate this step — it would show that EA listens to and values its global player base.
Kind regards,
A player from Greece
