Sudden ping spikes with good internet

I only started having this problem about 2 days ago, and I have no idea why, my game constantly goes from a stable 20 - 25 ping to over 500 and back again. My router is decently far away from my playstation therefore I rely on a wifi network, however, my download speed is 300+ and my upload speed is around 200 so there shouldnt be any issues with ping spikes? Already tried changing DNS servers and all that stuff, any help appreciated.
