Well, unless you know for sure that it tracks previous card types on EA's end, it might not actually be possible. Also, what do you do when someone's put them into Sharp Shooter and now has 88 shooting and Finesse+? Should they be allowed to continue the evo too with the new stats? What about just their PS+? Or is it just people who did the wrong WF or the DLP++ Evo? All of this demonstrates why they won't change rarity restrictions - to restrict Evo chains to stuff that is reasonable and within their control, as has always been the case. Where do you draw the line with it anyway? PS+? Role++? Stat Boosts? Who's allowed to continue the evo chain and who isn't, depending on what evo they did by mistake?
Reality is the functionality to undo and reverse Evo's would be incredibly useful and something I would have utilised multiple times this year, but it is not necessarily something that can be retroactively implemented unless the existing data to support the functionality is already there. I am not so sure it is.
Also I've now seen your larger comment block above - I have no disagreement with you on the fact that EA are hopeless at serving the community, as has been evident by their "drop in stocks = better game patch" debacle. The comment you responded to on this thread was about the fact it's an easy mistake to make (which you've subsequently said you agree with) and that I don't think they could change the restrictions on the evo because there are already legacy evos from before the promo which don't have them... which is totally valid.
My only other comments on other posts have been about how people are saying "the evo is bugged" which it isn't, and pointing out that they've done something else that isn't part of the Evo chain. Apparently that makes me "defending EA" when all i'm actually doing is "pointing out what has actually happened" and that it isn't a bug issue. I'm not 100% on what on earth you took initial disliking to, but if you see everything as so black and white that actually root causing an issue makes me a defender of EA, I don't know what to tell you.
Surely telling people "no the evo isn't bugged, you just put them in the wrong one" so that they instead know to
a) pay more attention to evo restrictions and card rarities and
b) complain about their perceived "lack" of adequate warnings
... is a good thing, no?
