Can someone explain what is happening

Almost every Rivals or Champions game I play. It seems like half way through the game the opposing players pauses the game and when the game resumes. My players have no stamina, they can’t sprint or pass, my midfielders and Defence are swapping sides randomly, my right back is standing on top of my left back and my players start performing the weirdest animations I’ve ever seen. It can’t all be cheating but it happens 8 out of 10 games. What is going on!?!? I need someone to explain it to me I feel like I’m going crazy!
