Why is Gullit so weak in game.

bad passing

gets run of the ball

feels super clunky on the ball

and runs slowwwww

makes unnecessary touches and heavy touches

Sounds like a bit of a skill issue bro.

Gullit has always been clunky/a bit of a truck in game, it doesn't matter what rating he is, that's purely down to his in game height, weight and body type. You can't just use every player the exact same way. The way you use Henry is completely different to how you'd use Eto'o.

Things like heavy touches are usually down to being to trigger happy with your sprint button upon receiving the ball. Gullit is a big physical boi man, you need to be utilizing that. Using your shield button when players get near him, ball rolling for better accuracy with passes, lob passing to him to utilize his height and physicality. He's never going to be the 'nimble' player that can just dribble around people, nor should you. He's there to win the ball and then lay it off to the next guy. His AI is great in game, especially on Box-to-Box, he'll be everywhere you need him to be when attacking and defending, just got to know what to do with him when you switch to him.

It's the same with Vieira, it took me ages to understand why he's so good and how to use him. But once I got it dude turned into and actual BEAST for me in game, man is like a brick wall at CDM.

    We all get different gameplay.

I know exactly the same issue. The higher stats the worse the players perform in terms of sticking when turning, underpowered passes etc. Bigger players seem to have issues on top of this.

We all understand different types of players.

Talking about skill issues when it’s clear a lot of people have very impacted gameplay is not helpful.

He wasn't talking about different or impacted gameplay though was he, he was talking about Gullit specifically, otherwise the post would have been about the gameplay in general, so lets stay on subject.

That's the thing though isn't it, not everyone does understand the different types of players. The reality is sometimes it is 100% a skill issue. People need to stop taking that as an insult and realize that sometimes IT IS actually THEIR SKILL that is the problem. It's not like its a conspiracy or something where EA have put out a Gullit SBC, but he ended up with a 'bad one', like EA is out to sabotage his Gullit that has the same stats as every other 94 Gullit.

I was being helpful, I explained exactly how Gullit should be played. We need to stop pandering to people like these things are outside of their control. If other people can get massive value out of potentially the best CM in the game, you can too, part of that is analyzing how you're playing with him and looking at your own gameplay. Copping out to 'your gameplays impacted cos EA' isn't helpful in the slightest. How does that give him anything to move forward with outside of blaming EA, it won't do anything. At least with acknowledging that yes, Gullit is clunky, that is known, here's how you play him, gives this player something to look at and go forward with.
