My ultimate team is not working at all

I am attempting to make a new squad to play the Bundesliga tots cup and everytime I use squad builder it is saying that the servers are unavailable so I asked a friend if their game is working and he said it is so I do not know what to do and I am trying to play and it is not working I cannot even access the app on my phone so please could someone advise me on what to do.
