Players changed position mid game

I was playing fut champs and tried to change my tactic. I accidentally pressed on the suggested tactics button instead of my own in game tactics. After that there was a small delay in which I couldn't change tactics again, so I was stuck with my centre back at right mid for a moment. But after I managed to switch back to my own tactics (a 442) I ended up with my striker (dalglish) at centre back, which is dreadful because he's like 1.73, and my left back at centre mid and my centre mid at right mid. I tried switching between tactics and that didn't help. Players stayed out of position. Then I went to team management and it said the players were on their normal positions, but when I went back in game the players were still out of position. Regardless to say I lost that match in fut champs.
