The icon gift that came with the pre-order was not given to me as an option.

Just to check, are you looking at the game's player career mode? You've posted this in the Ultimate Team section of the forum, and these Icons aren't for the Ultimate Team game mode. We have more info about the bonuses included in the pre-order versions here.
