Of all the problems this game has, Squad Battles looks fine to me. 14 matches in a week are enough (and if you need to play more you can infinitely) considering you have also WL to play and eventually Champions. I barely can finish everything every week.
"But now is impossible to get good rewards!" FALSE: I am an average player (I reach Div 3 max) and I constantly hit Elite 1 or Elite 2 in Squad Battles..and the rewards are actually very good for the little effort put!
I was able to get most of my WW tokens from it (2 per week) and now in one guaranteed WW pack I found Rolfo CC (without PS+ cause the game is broken)
If you are hitting elite in the current squad battles every week you are either way above average or you get a very different gameplay experience.
The point being made is that for the actual casual player who doesn’t really want to take part in online games, squad battles used to be a fairly easy going way to make good enough rewards to progress.
Those rewards are now out of the reach of most casual players due to the very good players now playing the few games needed for the rewards and that’s before you get to the gameplay and crashing issues a lot of people are getting making getting points in squad battles very difficult.
At first I was disappointed to only get to play 12 SB games but after a couple of weeks I got used to it and it was good but my problem has been getting booted off the servers especially when I’m winning and it being recorded as a 3-0 loss. It happened to me at least 10-12 times over a month and the last time I got cut off in 3 consecutive games and I just lost interest and haven’t played SB for 6 weeks. It’s just a waste of time when this keeps happening.
- @francksauzee4 Casual players are not playing 40 games. I know because I am casual. If you said hardcore players need more games to outlast good casual players this would makes sense. I wouldn’t agree with it but casuals don’t need more games they need less.
Probably somewhere in between but not 12.
I mean the players that still like to play a reasonable amount but don’t like online play and are never really going to be really good players.
For good players there are lots of other ways to get decent rewards. It’s taken away the only real option for the more casual player.
