Squad battles rewards

I don't get why EA would nerf the rewards for squad battles for this one promo. It's honestly pathetic, the cards aren't making any difference to the power curve, it's almost impossible to get a good icon from this promo, and I've had the same immortals heroes more than I've had the lower rated icons.

If the chance of me getting anything that will actually get in my squad is extremely low, why nerf the rewards in squad battles. It's not even worth doing squad battles now, the other rewards aren't what I play squad battles for, I play for promos. If they were guaranteed to be higher rated then it's worth it, but I'm just going to get the same players that don't make it in to my main team now.
